We’re highlighting small businesses from around the country as nominated by you, our readers. If your favorite small business is using Twitter to communicate with customers, let us know about it @fbsmallbiz with the hashtag #mysbc, and it may be featured as an upcoming Small Business of the Day.

Small Business of the Day: BellaRoma Natural Skincare Boutique

Who: Diana Mueller, 30, @BellaromaLady

What: organic facial care and aromatherapy oils and lotions

When: 2009

How: Mueller who previously worked as a certified massage therapist, enjoyed creating her own aromatherapy lotions and oils for clients.

"I'd bring my products into work with me and people would rave about them," she said.

However, a condition she had with her back forced her to leave the massage profession and find a job where she wouldn't be on her feet all day. Her passion for the oils and lotions her clients loved continued to develop, and in 2009, she began selling online. Today, Mueller continues to sell her products while working as an administrative assistant.

Where: Michigan

Biggest lesson learned from customers: although criticism is never easy to swallow, Mueller said she has learned to take negative feedback.

"You won't please everyone, and no businesses perfect," she said. "Take it, learn for it and grow. Don't be so hard on yourself."
